The Skyflash was an air-to-air missile from the 1980s that was developed by British Aerospace for the Royal Air Force .
The Skyflash was all weather capable and could be used against fast low-flying aircraft. It was developed from the US AIM-7C , but was less prone to failure, faster and had a greater range. The Skyflash was replaced by the AIM-120 AMRAAM .
