Coat of arms of those von Goldacker

Goldacker is the name of an old Thuringian noble family that was based in Thuringia and the Neumark .

history

The family is mentioned for the first time with Siegmund in 1119 zu Göttingen, who is said to have attended a tournament. The family line begins - according to legend - with John von Goldacker , who came to Thuringia from Carinthia in 1221 with "Saint Elisabeth" . With his grandson Hermann Goltakker , court marshal to the Thuringian Landgrave Friedrich , the family appears for the first time in 1316.

Colonel Hartmann von Goldacker protected the city of Naumburg from the Swedish troops in 1642 . Friedrich Wilhelm Albert von Goldacker belonged to the Naumburg Cathedral Chapter in 1752.

In the St. Ulrici Church of Weberstedt there are six epitaphs of the family, including that of Georg Wolf v. Goldacker († 1596) and his wife Barbara, b. von Nesselrod († 1584), and Albrecht Goldacker († 1610).
