Slagsmålsklubben
Slagsmålsklubben - also known as SMK - is an electro-pop band from Sweden . The name Slagsmålsklubben is a Swedish translation of the title of the film Fight Club . With their side projects 50 Hertz and Häxor och porr they appeared on Björk's compilation Army of Me: Remixes and Covers .
history
Slagsmålsklubben was founded on November 2nd, 2000 in Norrköping, Sweden by Joakim "Beebop" Nybom, Björn Nilsson and Joni Mälkki, who were all members of the progressive rock band The Solbrillers .
The idea of starting a synthpop band came to them during a band rehearsal with The Solbrillers . With the band's vocalist not showing up, they decided to hook up Joni's old synthesizer to his guitar amp . The three recorded a few songs that ultimately led to the formation of SMK.
Hannes Stenström joined the band a year later (2001) because he had much better synthesizers than the others. Frej Larsson joined them in 2003 after doing the 7 " Hyreshus glossary and in 2004 Kim Nilsson joined them.
In 2005 the whole band moved to Berlin . In 2011 all members returned to Stockholm . There they share a villa with a recording studio, in which the fourth album was recorded and edited.

The band members have many side projects, such as B. 50 Hertz , in which many SMK members take part, Din Stalker , Hannes' solo project, and Offerprästers orkester , one of Frej's solo projects.
