Slant is a Russian - American metal band from Annandale / Virginia , which was founded in 2001 by the Russian brothers Iliya and Andrew Karpman and the two Americans Fahimuz Zaman and Munir Haque. Slant is signed to Gotham Records and has released three albums to date, two of which are sold worldwide.
