Slavcho Wassew

Slavcho Wassew Welew ( Bulgarian Славчо Васев ; born October 20, 1906 in Schabljano , † August 16, 1990 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian journalist and writer.

Life

Wassew was editor-in-chief of the newspaper Literaturen Front from 1954 to 1964 . From 1956 to 1960 he was also chairman of the Association of Bulgarian Journalists. From 1966 he assumed the role of chairman of the Bulgarian Committee for Cooperation and Understanding between the Balkan Countries. He wrote stories, essays, reports and sketches.

Wassew was honored as a Hero of Socialist Labor and the Dimitrov Prize .
