The Slovak National Archives is a state archive in Bratislava .

It is under the administration of the Ministry of Interior of Slovakia. The current building of the archive was built between 1970 and 1983 according to the plans of the architect Vladimír Dedeček . The National Archives is the largest archive in Slovakia and the largest training center for archivists in Slovakia. The archive was founded in 1952.

The first archive in Slovakia was established in 1928. The current organization was founded in 1952 and has changed names since then. After being called the Slovak Central Archives , it was renamed the State Archives of the Slovak Socialist Republic in 1975 . In 1991 it was given its current name.
