Vladimír Dedeček
Vladimír Dedeček (born May 26, 1929 in Turz-Sankt Martin ; † April 29, 2020 ) was a Slovak architect . He is considered one of the most important representatives of post-war Slovak architecture.
Life
After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak Technical University in 1953, Dedeček devoted himself mainly to the construction of school buildings and their urban integration until 1960 . As a result, he also received important official orders for cultural and state buildings of socialist modernity . Based on functionalism , some later works can also be assigned to brutalism .
His regional focus was in Bratislava . The Slovak National Archives are considered one of his main works.
