Small-Screen Rendering ( Engl . Representation for small screens, short SSR ) is a technology that allows Web sites of any size on a small screen (eg. Mobile phone display) without horizontal scrolling.

With Small Screen Rendering , the displayed page is reformatted in such a way that it can then also be displayed on, for example, a display only 128 pixels in size, without losing any of its functionality. This results in a column corresponding to the size of the ad with the content of the page arranged vertically so that you only have to scroll down or up. Content that is too large (lists, navigation bars, etc.) is hidden behind a + sign and can be opened if necessary.
