Snorri Þórfinnsson (* 1005-1013; † around 1090, other transcription Snorri Thorfinnsson ) was the son of the Icelandic Þorfinnur Karlsefni and his wife Guðríður Þorbjarnardóttir . His grandson was the bishop Þorlákur Runólfsson .

It is believed that he was born between 1005 and 1013 in Vinland , discovered by Leif Eriksson . Since Vinland is part of North America , Snorri Þorfinnsson is considered to be the first child of European descent to be born in America.
