Snowboard Kids , Japanese Snobow Kids ( Japanese ス ノ ボ キ ッ ズ , Sunobo Kizzu ), is a snowboard racing game for the Nintendo 64 . It was created by Racdym developed and Atlus published . In the game you control a child snowboarder of your choice over several different slopes.

Setting

A private competition between the children, who make up the boarder squad, serves as the framework for determining the best rider.

Game mechanics

In addition to the usual mechanics of a snowboard game, Snowboard Kids adds shots (special weapons used to attack other players) and items that can help the player, hinder other players, or both.

The game has nine main lines. Only some of the routes consist of snow-capped mountain landscapes, other courses lead through an amusement park, a desert, a vast valley, a dark highway, and a Japanese village during the cherry blossom season .

Items

Items (items that can be purchased by driving through a box on the route for a price of 100 coins) are usually used to hinder fellow players or to gain an advantage. For example, the characters can fire ice projectiles that freeze their target for a short time and bring them to a halt; a mouse can steal money from all other racing drivers and leave it to its own character; a propeller gives the character a temporary increased speed.
