Snowscoot

The snowscoot is a winter sports device similar to a bicycle with sliding surfaces instead of wheels and was invented by Franck Petoud in 1991. With a snowscoot you can ski down a sloping snow surface , for example a ski slope . The first race was organized in 1995 in Avoriaz , France .

A snowscoot is practically a mixture of scooter and snowboard . In contrast to the snow level, the snowscoot has no bench. The sliding surfaces are screwed to a frame made of aluminum, steel or carbon. The “rider” can move the front sliding surface, known as the “front board”, with the handlebars. The rear board, the "backboard", is firmly connected to the main frame. The rider stands on a step in a loop, which he can leave quickly when jumping, for example. The snowscoot is connected to the rider by a safety line.
