The Snowsports Academy is the Ski and Snowboard Instructors Association of Vienna (WSSV).

Training as a ski instructor

The training to become a state ski instructor begins with the ski instructor candidate training (level 1 + 2). This qualification can be achieved by completing the 10-day ski instructor candidate course (level 1 + 2) or the National Ski Instructor module (level 1) (5 days) together with the ski candidate module (level 2) (6 days). The training is continued in both training systems with the state ski instructor 1 (level 3 part 1), the state ski instructor 2 (level 3 part 2) and the alpine course. The participants complete the training after successfully completing all parts of the course and practical time as a regional ski instructor (level 3). Internationally, this qualification is equivalent to the ISIA qualification.

Training as a snowboard instructor

The training to become a state snowboard instructor begins with the snowboard instructor candidate training (level 1 + 2). This qualification can be achieved by completing the 10-day snowboard candidate course (level 1 + 2) or the module National Snowboard Instructor (level 1) (5 days) together with the module snowboard candidate (level 2) (6 days). The training is continued in both training systems with the state snowboard instructor (level 3) and the alpine course. The participants complete the training after successfully completing all parts of the course and practical time as a state snowboard instructor (level 3). Internationally, this qualification is equivalent to the ISIA qualification.
