Master's degree in Social Design Arts as Urban Innovation

In 2012, the University of Applied Arts Vienna implemented the Master’s degree in Social Design Arts as Urban Innovation , which addresses the challenges of urban social systems and addresses all related issues. The master’s program is aimed at graduates from different fields of study and defines working in transdisciplinary teams as the central form of teaching and learning. Building on the skills acquired in their respective preliminary studies, students are made familiar with overcoming disciplinary codes and working in overarching contexts. Art in interaction with project-relevant methods and knowledge from the sciences are seen as an instrument of urban innovation.
