Sofie Regenscheit

Sofie Regenscheit (born May 18, 1893 in Winterspüren , † September 5, 1969 in Singen ) was a German politician and member of the SPD in the Baden state parliament from 1919 to 1921.

Live and act

Sofie Regenscheit was born as the daughter of a farmer in Winterspüren near Stockach . After marrying the locksmith Karl Gustav Regenscheit, she moved to Singen, where she worked as a worker until 1934 and from 1943. Sofie Regenscheit had been a member of the SPD since 1913, she was also a member of the factory workers' association and was involved in the women's movement. From 1919 to 1921 she was a member of the Baden state parliament . During the Nazi era, the Gestapo probably checked her because of her party membership in the SPD, but was no longer politically active at the time.
