The solar field Krumbach - Am Reschenberg is an open space photovoltaic system southwest of the city of Krumbach (Swabia) north of the B 300 in the district of Günzburg .
16.3 hectares of the 19.2 hectare site were from the Scatec Solar GmbH silicon - solar modules installed. The facility stands on two areas that were previously used as fields. The nominal output of the entire system is 5,164 kWp . The two partial areas are referred to as the Krumbach I and Krumbach II solar fields. The nominal output of the Krumbach I solar field is around three megawatts. The power plant is expected to deliver around 3,200 MWh of electricity per year, which corresponds to the consumption of around 2,700 people. The output of the solar modules installed on the other sub-area (Krumbach II) is around two MW.
Almost four years passed from the principle approval of the project by the Krumbach city council to the start of construction in August 2009. The necessary changes to the land use plan and the preparation of a development plan took place in 2007. The solar field was completed and put into operation at the end of December 2009.
