Military customs

As a soldierly tradition refers to rules and practices which are partly over centuries in the armies of the world, especially in Europe , have developed or maintained.

This includes everyday things such as the military salute , the battalion flag , special rituals (e.g. the Great Zapfenstreich ) as well as keeping old names and designations (e.g. Jägerbataillon Wien 1 "Hoch- und Deutschmeister" of the Austrian Armed Forces ).
