Soltan Bacht Agha Mausoleum

The Soltan Bacht Agha Mausoleum ( Persian آرامگاه سلطان بخت آقا, IPA : ɑɾɑmɡɑh ɛ soltɑn bæxt ɑɢɑ ) is a historic mausoleum in the Iranian city of Isfahan . Soltan Bacht Agha was the niece of King Shah Sheikh Abu Esshaq from the Injuid dynasty who ruled over some parts of Iran.

After her uncle was murdered by rival Muzaffarids , Soltan Bacht Agha decided to marry their ruler, Mubariz ed-Din Muhammad . Supported by brother-in-law Jalaleddin, she wanted to influence the Mozaffarids' court and create a rift among the princes . When Mubariz ad-Din Muhammad saw his wife's intrigue, he ordered her to be killed. Thereupon Jalaleddin conquered Isfahan and ordered a great mausoleum to be built on her tomb .
