Special fire fighting vehicles (also called special fire extinguishing vehicles , abbreviated to SLF ) are special fire fighting vehicles that have a large amount of special fire fighting equipment (e.g. foam , powder , carbon dioxide ) at their disposal. They are usually not standardized and, due to their high procurement costs and great specialization, can only be found in large (works) fire departments. These vehicles are mostly adapted to the local conditions.
These include:
- Universal fire fighting vehicles
- Dry fire engines
- Foam fire engines
- Carbon dioxide fire engines (CO 2 fire engines)
