Havelterberg special ammunition depot

The Havelterberg special ammunition dump was located in a wooded area between Havelterberg and Darp , the Netherlands . The warehouse was in operation from 1961 to 1992. Nuclear warheads were stored for MGR-1 Honest John and later for MGM-52 Lance . The camp was guarded by the 8th USAFAD of the 552nd US Army Artillery Group together with the 129e Afvda . A watchtower is one of the remaining structures .
