Sonja Watzka (* born in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian radio presenter, speaker, actress and media trainer.

Life

She finished her acting studies in 1991 with a diploma in Vienna. She completed her training at the Innsbruck State Theater and at the Krauss Drama School in Vienna. Her journalistic career began in 1994 with private radio (Radio CD) as a news editor, presenter of the morning program, article designer, jingle producer.

She started working for Hitradio Ö3 in 1996 after a brief engagement with ORF television. She was employed in various functions, was editor of the Ö3-Wortredaktion for many years, employee of the program design, Ö3 alarm clock boss, project manager and moderated the Ö3 program "Sonja am weekend". After twelve years at Ö3, she switched to the classic channel Ö1 in 2008.

After three years as an author and designer for "Moment - Leben heute", she has been moderating "Guten Morgen Österreich" since summer 2011, writing a column entitled "Composers like you and me" and is also the program spokesperson for Ö1.
