The Sony Ericsson T68i is a mobile phone from the Japanese / Swedish manufacturer Sony Ericsson . It was the first Ericsson cell phone with a color display and one of the first three cell phones with an MMS function; as well as one of the first cell phones with a LiPolymer battery .

In 2002 Sony Ericsson introduced the Communicam MCA-10, an external camera for the T68i, which is considered the first clip-on camera for a mobile phone.

Initially it was sold under the name Ericsson as type: T68 and T68m . The revised model T68i followed later ; it was already named Sony Ericsson . The T68i was offered in the colors arctic blue and stellar gray , while the T68m was available in the colors mineral gray and in a gold-colored housing. The T68i was painted on the underside, while the T68m had a high-quality rubber coating on the underside. In contrast to the T68i, the T68m was not able to send or receive MMS. A firmware update , which the Sony Ericsson service center carried out partly free of charge, made the T68m technically a T68i with the full range of functions of the T68i. The MMS function was now also available for the T68m.

The Sony Ericsson T68 / T68m / T68i cell phones were the successors of the Sony Ericsson T65 and are generally referred to as a big hit .
