Sorgu is an island in the Baltic Sea off the Estonian coast in the southwestern Pärnu district . Sorgu was first recorded on maps as Sorkholm in the 16th century .

The island is located west of Manilaid Island . It is about 5 hectares and very stony. A 16 m high lighthouse ( Sorgu tulepaak ) with some stone outbuildings has been on it since 1904 . It replaced a previous wooden building that had been built in 1864 in connection with the construction of the port of Pärnu . The waters around the island in Pärnu Bay are considered difficult. Numerous ship accidents have occurred there.

Administratively, Sorgu belongs to the municipality of Pärnu . The island has been uninhabited since 1976. Today, Sorgu is an important resting and nesting place for migratory birds. The island is therefore not allowed to be entered from April 15th to July 1st. The two smaller, also uninhabited islands of Heinlaid and Kiveslaid are located near Sorgu.
