Sosicrates of Rhodes
Sosikrates of Rhodes (Σωσικράτης Sōsikrátēs ; * around 200 BC; † around 128 BC) was an ancient Greek historian .
Sosikrates wrote a history of Crete and a history of philosophy in several books (the so-called schools of philosophy ), which dealt particularly with the individual schools and took the teacher-student relationships into account. Only a few fragments of his works have survived. By Diogenes Laertius we know that Sosikrates both Monimus and about Diogenes of Sinope and Thales of Miletus reported.
