Source Code Pro is a sans serif, non-proportional font designed by Paul D. Hunt for Adobe . After Source Sans Pro , it is the second free font from Adobe and is published under the SIL Open Font License . Source Code Pro is, as the name suggests, on the presentation of source text ( English source code optimized).

In 2015, the font was expanded to include a real italic with the help of the Finnish type designer Teo Tuominen . Source Code Pro also supports Cyrillic and Greek since then .
