The Source de la Douix , or just called Douix , is a karst spring in the Côte-d'Or department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in France . It is located in Châtillon-sur-Seine below the St-Vorles church .
description
The bluish shimmering spring water of the Source de la Douix emerges from a branched, 180 m deep cave system at the foot of a limestone rock. It probably comes from the Ource , among other things , which partially seeps away in the valley to the east. The average bed is 600 liters per second. It can rise to 3000 l / s after heavy rainfall. The spring water flows into the Seine after about 70 m .
