South African National Climbing Federation ( SANCF ) German  South African National Climbing Federation is the governing body for sport climbing includes the lead climbing, bouldering and speed climbing. SANCF oversees competitive climbing across the country as well as the promotion and development of the sport in artificial climbing environments. SANCF is affiliated with the world organization International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) with the status of a full member and SASCOC. The SANCF organizes national competitions in various age groups (including under 13, under 15, under 17, under 19 and open), and gender categories in major disciplines such as the National Boulder Series Championships and the National Lead Climbing Competition, as well as sending representative teams to to participate in international competitions. South African climbers also take part in the Montagu Rock Rally, Boven Rock Rally and The Rory Challenge.

The South African National Climbing Federation (SANCF) was founded in 2010 with the aim of promoting sport climbing among South African youth. It is an organization run with the help of volunteers who share their experiences and talents. SANCF was affiliated to the International Federation of Sport Climbing in 2010 , which enabled it to send a team of 16 young people as South Africa's first competitive climbing team to the 2011 IFSC World Youth Championship in Imst , Austria .
