Space Adventures M-55X

Space Adventures M-55X ( M-55X for short ) is the carrier ship for the suborbital aircraft Space Adventures Explorer . The complete system is called the “Cosmopolis XXI tourist spaceplane system”. The aircraft was developed by the Myasishchev design office under the leadership of Space Adventures . The combination of the M-55X and S-XXI projects was presented at MAKS '2001. The M-55X was an M-55 converted as a carrier aircraft for the small space glider S-XXI. The M-55X, which is equipped with boosters, brings the S-XXI to an altitude of 17 - 19,000 m where the booster is ignited, which brings the space glider into an orbit.
