Space Adventures Explorer

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Space Adventures Explorer was a concept for space aircraft for suborbital flights by tourists, which was based on the space aircraft concept "C-21".

The concept was developed by the company Space Adventures together with the Russian space agency Roskosmos and envisaged carrying five passengers. The aircraft was supposed to take off in the air after being carried to a certain altitude by a Space Adventures M-55X carrier aircraft . The entire system was to start from its own space airports such as the "Ras al-Khaimah Spaceport", which Space Adventures wanted to build in the United Arab Emirates together with the Prodea company (a company of the Ansari family that donated the Ansari X-Prize ) .
