Spacer (biology)

Spacer or separating DNA sequences can be found on the DNA between genes , e.g. B. between the rRNA genes ( rDNA ) arranged in groups . In the case of the rRNA genes, the spacer sequences are rewritten together with the rRNA genes into a single primary transcript. The spacer sequences are then cut out of the primary transcript. This guarantees the production of the same amount of the gene products .
