Spaghetti server

Stainless steel spaghetti server with plastic handle

A spaghetti lifter ( also: spaghetti lifter , spaghetti spoon ) is a serving piece of cutlery for serving and portioning of fully cooked, long noodles ( pasta ), especially spaghetti .

It is available in various shapes and materials in stores. It usually consists of a “claw-like” gripping head and a longer shaft with a handle. It is mostly made of stainless steel , sometimes with a plastic or wood handle . However, there are also models that are made entirely of plastic or wood.

It is widely used in Italian cuisine . In contrast to spaghetti tongs , with a spaghetti server, the noodles are not squeezed when they are removed. Portioning, however, is not that easy.

The most common hole in the middle of the spaghetti lifter should make it easier to dose the raw spaghetti before cooking. The amount fits through the hole for an average portion.
