Spalahores

Common coin of Vonones and Spalahores

Spalahores was an Indo-Scythian king who ruled in the first century BC. So far it is practically only known from coins.

His coins show Greek legends, but also those in Kharoshthi . His brother Vonones , who apparently ruled with him, is always mentioned on the coins . These also mention Spalagadames, the son of Spalahores.

Some researchers see the same person in Spalahores and Spalirises , who minted their own coins and ruled shortly afterwards.
