Bill Easley

Bill Easley (* 13. January 1943 in New York City ) is an American jazz - saxophonist , clarinetist and flutist .

Live and act

Bill Easley graduated from Memphis State University in the 1960s . At the beginning of his musician career he worked with Isaac Hayes and took part in record sessions for the Stax label. Easley then returned to New York, worked with George Benson in 1968/70 and was sideman on recordings of Jimmy Smith . In the 1980s he recorded some albums under his own name for the jazz label Sunnyside and Milestone , where he was accompanied by musicians such as Mulgrew Miller , Tony Reedus , Sir Roland Hanna and Grady Tate . His album "Easley Done", which was released in 1994 on Evidence Records and on which Ron Carter , George Coleman and Billy Higgins participated, stands out. He has also been involved in record productions by James Williams, Bill Mobley , Grady Tate, George Caldwell , Victor Gaskin and Billy Higgins.
