A chipboard is a handcrafted decorative object that is part of the pyramid decorations . It is mainly produced in woodturning workshops in the Ore Mountains . The production method is called chipboard cutting .

The choice of material is particularly important. Only linden wood that has grown in a straight line is suitable.

Manufacturing

First a conical blank of the tree and a narrow disc from which the foot is made are turned . The conical blank is clamped in a vice and chip by chip is lifted evenly all around with the chisel.
