Spare (bowling)

In bowling, the spare is a throw result in which the second of two throws in a frame knocks over all pins that remained in the first throw. For a spare the player receives 10 points, plus the points from the next throw. A / is used as a general abbreviation for spare .

After the strike , the spare is the second best throw.
