Speed - The Ride at the Nascar Cafe ( Las Vegas , Nevada , USA ) was a shuttle - steel coaster on the model LIM Double Launch shuttle roller coaster of the manufacturer Premier Rides . It opened on April 28, 2000 as part of the NASCAR Café at the Sahara Hotel and Casino and has been out of service since the hotel closed in May 2011. In 2013 the line in London, Las Vegas was supposed to reopen , but that didn't happen.
