Sperenzien

Sperenzien (Diminutive: Sperenzchen ) is a colloquial term for arguments or actions, which caused someone a delay or disability of a project in the hope ( Latin sperantia ) prevent the project. The word is a plural tantum .

Synonyms

The term is used synonymously for excuses or difficulties, often in the form of “don't do it” or “he / she does it”. Colloquial synonyms are circumstances, fisimatents , antics, bitches . The expression is not only related to people, but also used for objects: "The engine does barriers" (the engine does not run smoothly).

etymology

The word is folk etymology derived from Latin sperantia or French espérance , the hope or expectation that the Sperenzien have the desired effect.

Possibly the word contaminated with lock itself .
