Der Spick is a Swiss youth magazine for children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. The magazine is financed without advertising and is known for its creative editorial achievements. It has been published since 1982.

The magazine was founded and looked after from 1982 to 1999 by the couple Otmar Bucher and Angelika Bucher Waldis . In 1999 Rudolf Helfer took over the management. In 2004 the youth magazine was sold by Tamedia to the publishing house Künzler-Bachmann in St. Gallen , in the same year Hans Schödel became editor-in-chief.

Spick (Swiss expression for cheat sheet ) is groundbreaking with its mix of topics. Later children's and youth magazines such as Geolino (Verlag Gruner and Jahr ) were based on Spick , which is known for reports on children from all over the world, reports on domestic and exotic animals, tips for handicrafts and puzzles as well as articles on topics such as school, science and sport . Comics and jokes round off the booklet, which also deals critically with current topics such as environmental protection.

The Spick is the best-selling magazine in its segment in Switzerland. It is only available by subscription and is sold worldwide.
