Spiral Coaster is the name of a steel roller coaster model from the manufacturer Intamin , which was delivered in 1996. Only one system was delivered, which was initially opened in the South Korean Sky Plaza as Sky Plaza Comet . In 1999 it was closed there and transported to the Al-Sha'ab Leisure Park in Kuwait , where it reopened in 2000 as a Spiral Coaster . It drove there until it was closed in 2005, but was still in the park until 2017. During this time it was repainted, but never opened again.

journey

In contrast to most other roller coasters, the Spiral Coaster had neither a lift hill nor a launch . The station was already at a height of around 6 meters. There the train was driven out of the station by means of friction wheels into a left curve and directly through the first inversion : the Heartline Roll . This was followed by two diving turns , whereby the first led the rail to approximately ground level and the second again in the opposite direction up to the starting height. There the second heartline roll back to the station followed. Spiral Coaster is the only roller coaster in which diving turns have been installed so far.

Trains

The Spiral Coaster train had eight cars. Two people (one row) could sit in each car.
