The Giovanola Frères SA was until 2005 one of the most prominent roller coaster manufacturers in the world. The company, founded by Joseph Giovanola in Monthey , Switzerland , in 1888 , was known for its rides, but also manufactured other steel products such as gondola lifts with an eponymous clamp (Giovanola clamp). In May 2005, Giovanola Frères SA went bankrupt . In the last years of operation, Giovanola carried out steel work for companies such as Intamin and Bolliger & Mabillard .

The own roller coasters include B. the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain . An example of a gondola of Giovanola Frères SA is the 1969 Built Hannig in Saas-Fee .
