A B&M Inverted Coaster

Bolliger & Mabillard Ingénieurs Conseils SA ( B&M for short ) is a Swiss engineering office and well-known manufacturer of roller coasters from Monthey .

history

Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard worked at Intamin on the first stand-up coaster and founded their own company in 1988. B&M not only pioneered the Inverted Coaster and Floorless Coaster , but also built the first roller coaster with an almost vertical descent with Oblivion in Alton Towers . Apart from their main business area - the steel roller coasters - they also built the trains for the wooden roller coaster Psyclone ( Six Flags Magic Mountain ). While B&M is mainly represented in the USA , there are significantly fewer railways from the manufacturer in Europe. In Germany these are Black Mamba (2006) in Phantasialand , Silver Star (2002) in Europa-Park and KRAKE (2011) and Flight of Demons (2014) in Heide Park Resort . The Shambhala roller coaster in Port Aventura near Tarragona is also from B&M.
