Parque Warner Madrid (previously known as Warner Bros. Movie World Madrid and Warner Bros. Park ) is a theme park located in San Martín de la Vega, about 28 km southeast of central Madrid . The park opened in 2002 and is divided into five thematic areas about films and scenes by Warner Brothers and various areas of the USA such as Hollywood Boulevard and New York . These five subject areas are called: DC Super Heroes World, Cartoon Village, Old West Territory, Hollywood Boulevard, and Movie World Studios.
Subject areas
Hollywood Boulevard: The main street and park entrance is a luxurious boulevard.
Cartoon Village: This is where the heroes of the cartoon series Looney Tunes live , such as Bugs Bunny , Sylvester and Tweety and Daffy Duck .
Old West Territory: homage to the Wild West and the spirit of western films . Wooden roller coasters such as the Coaster Express and wet fun at the Cataratas Salvajes and the Río Bravo are some of the offers in this area.
DC Super Heroes World: This is where the superheroes of the famous DC Comics live: Batman , Robin , Superman , Catwoman . Flying from a height of more than 50 m with Superman: La Atracción de Acero (Superman: The Steel Attraction) and free fall from a height of 100 m at La Venganza del Enigma (Riddler's Vengeance).
Movie World Studios: Inspired by the production studios in Hollywood, the streets recreate the scenery and scenarios of famous films. The area becomes an authentic film set, where the visitor can experience particularly risky scenes live, which are stunted by stuntmen.
