Cases of the Hérisson

The Cascades du Hérisson ( German  "Waterfalls of Hérisson" ) are located in the French Jura in Franche-Comté in France .

The Hérisson flows at the end of a canyon in seven waterfalls from a height of 805 meters, a total of 280 m in depth. A marked footpath leads past numerous waterfalls, pools and caves. The Cascade de l'Éventail (65 m) and the Cascade du Grand Saut (60 m) are highlights of the 3.7 km long course.

The water level of the Herisson varies according to the season. When the water is low, the falls are less impressive, but bizarre formations become visible on the bottom of the stream.
