HUSS breakdance

The Huss Park Attractions GmbH (formerly Huss Rides, originally HUSS Maschinenfabrik, shortened own spelling HUSS ) is the largest German manufacturer for the development and production of leisure facilities, based in Bremen .

Huss specializes in the production of thrill rides and has designed and built a total of 35 different types of rides to date. The company is one of the best-known producers of attractions for fairs and amusement parks and also takes on the thematic design .

history

The HUSS Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1919 in Bremen and originally produced only spare parts and components for individual ships . The company has been active in the leisure industry since 1969, with the start of the great boom in annual fairs. Since the 1990s, the company has increasingly appeared under the name Huss Rides , thus adapting to its international orientation.

On August 1, 2006, the Bremen District Court decided on provisional bankruptcy and appointed an insolvency administrator. A planned takeover by Krupp Stahlbau Hannover failed. Instead, the HUSS Maschinenfabrik GmbH and Co. KG was split up after the bankruptcy. The newly founded Huss Park Attractions GmbH did not become the legal successor to the HUSS Maschinenfabrik and concentrated exclusively on the production of leisure facilities for theme parks. The new GmbH is managed by a group of investors and the Hungarian factory Huss Gépgyár Kft. Has been taken over by an industrial company.

The area of exhaust gas cleaning systems will continue to operate under the name Huss Group .

Well-known rides

Some of the company's rides are still an integral part of fairs and amusement parks. These include Breakdance , Booster , Condor , Enterprise , Flipper , Frisbee , Magic , Rainbow , Ranger , Top Spin and Shot'n Drop .

The breakdance was developed in 1985 by Huss Rides in the first version and built. There are now four variants, of which a total of over 100 copies have been delivered - 46 of which are mainly in Germany. The most spectacular amusement ride, albeit with very little distribution, is currently the Giant Frisbee , a further developed and larger version of the Frisbee . Due to their dimensions, the systems of the entire Giant Rides series are designed exclusively for amusement parks.
