Nemesis Inferno in Thorpe Park ( Chertsey , Surrey , UK ) is a steel roller coaster model Inverted Coaster by the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard , which opened on April 5, 2003.

The ride begins with a short descent into a misty volcano followed by the lift hill . When the train has reached the 29 m high top of the lift hill, it makes a steep descent before making the loop . This is immediately followed by a zero-g-roll and the interlocking corkscrews . Two inclined curves are driven through before the final brake.

The ride is based on the same theme as the sister line Nemesis in Alton Towers . It has the same name, combined with the similarities of the first loop. In the last helix , 4.5 g act  on the passenger.

Trains

Nemesis Inferno's trains each have seven cars. Four people (one row of four) can be seated in each carriage. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.

  • Nemesis Inferno is the only inverted coaster that is equipped with interlocking corkscrews.
  • The part in front of the lift hill with the ride through the tunnel is the longest on all roller coasters from the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard.
  • At 77 km / h, Nemesis Inferno is the manufacturer's slowest inverted coaster.
