Hollywood Dream: The Ride ( Jap. ハリウッド·ドリーム·ザ·ライド , Hariuddo Dorimu Sa Raido ) in Universal Studios Japan in the Japanese Osaka is a steel coaster on the model hypercoaster the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard , which opened on 9 March 2007 . The special feature of the train is a built-in sound system that is located in the headrests. The passenger can choose one of five songs that he would like to hear while driving. The selection is made individually using the corresponding five buttons on the safety bar.

The following songs are currently available:

After the train has been pulled up the 44 m high, semi-closed lift hill, the music begins to play and the train goes down the First Drop . The route is designed as a classic "out-and-back" with descents and hills. The two changes of direction take place in a horseshoe element and a double helix .

250 LEDs are attached to each car on the trains , which light up at different intervals at night and change their brightness. The illumination and the placement of the track right next to or above the main street of the park also make it interesting for spectators.

The four trains of Hollywood Dream: The Ride have nine cars each. Four people (a row of four) can be seated in each car. To increase capacity, the railway has a double charging station and can thus reach a maximum of 2000 people per hour.

Passengers must be at least 132 cm tall to be allowed to ride. The sound system and the lighting are fed by accumulators built into the trains that are charged in the stations.
