Siegfried Russwurm, Board Member Siemens Industry

The Siemens Sector Industry was created on January 1, 2008 as one of the four sectors of Siemens AG , which was headed by Siegfried Russwurm .

The previous divisions Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D), Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S), Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), Siemens Transportation Systems (TS) and Osram were merged into the Industry Sector .

As of October 1, 2014, the sector level will no longer exist and with it the Siemens Sector Industry.

Divisions

The Siemens Sector Industry consisted of three divisions:

  • Industry Automation (CEO: Anton Huber, CFO: Miguel-Angel Lopez)
  • Drive Technologies (CEO: Ralf Michael Franke, CFO: Thomas Rathmann)
  • Customer Service (CEO: Dirk Hoke)

Key figures

In the 2010 financial year, total sales of around EUR 35 billion and earnings of around EUR 3.5 billion were achieved. Almost 105,000 people in over 130 countries were employed in the Industry Sector. In contrast, total sales in the 2012 financial year, at around EUR 20 billion and earnings of around EUR 2.1 billion, were significantly lower than in the 2011 financial year.
