Siegfried Russwurm (* 27. June 1963 in Marktgraitz / Lichtenfels) is the current chairman of the board at ThyssenKrupp and former Siemens - board member .

Life

Russwurm is a qualified engineer in production technology. From 1988 he worked at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg . He then worked at Siemens Kemnath in the medical division. In 1999 he worked for Siemens Elema AB in Solna , Sweden. In 2003 he became head of the Motion Control Systems division in the Automation and Drives division . In May 2006 he became a member of the Executive Board of Medical Solutions and in January 2008 of the Executive Board of Siemens AG. In August 2009 he became honorary professor for mechatronics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He left Siemens in March 2017. Siegfried Russwurm has been a member of the Voith Group's shareholder committee since March 2018 . With effect from March 29, 2019, he was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Shareholders' Committee of the Voith Group. Russwurm has also been a member of Thyssenkrupp's Supervisory Board since April 2019 . At the beginning of October 2019 he was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Thyssenkrupp. Russwurm is also a member of the advisory board set up at the end of 2017 for the largest German meat company, Tönnies .
