Green Lantern in Six Flags Great Adventure ( Jackson , New Jersey , USA ) is a steel roller coaster model Stand-Up Coaster from the manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard , which opened in May 2011. It was originally opened as Chang in April 1997 in Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and drove there until 2009. It was designed by the engineering company Stengel GmbH.
At the time of its opening, it was considered the highest, fastest and longest stand-up coaster in the world, also in terms of the number of inversions . It outperformed Mantis at Cedar Point , which opened a year earlier, on all counts . The Riddler's Revenge in Six Flags Magic Mountain , which opened in 1998, surpassed all Green Lantern records a year later.
Green Lantern has five inversions: a 37 m high loop , a 32 m high dive loop , a 22 m high inclined loop , and two corkscrews .
Trains
Green Lantern has three trains with seven cars each. Four people (one row of four) can be seated in each carriage. Shoulder straps are used as a restraint system.
