El Toro in Six Flags Great Adventure ( Jackson , New Jersey , USA ) is a wooden coaster model Wooden Coaster from the manufacturer Intamin , which opened on June 12, 2006.
El Toro is the manufacturer's third roller coaster to be built using the new rail technology. With its first descent of 76 ° it is the second steepest wooden rollercoaster in the world and, when it opened, replaced the previous record holder Balder (70 °) in Liseberg as the steepest wooden rollercoaster in the world.
The station building of the former roller coaster Viper , which was dismantled in 2004, was used as the station building. The route of the first two thirds is very similar to the Colossos wooden roller coaster in Heide-Park Soltau. This is because the highest all-wooden roller coaster to date, Colossos, was a model for the construction of El Toro. However, the last third of the route at El Toro consists of a twisted twist section made up of many high-speed corners. El Toro is currently the third largest wooden roller coaster in the world, behind Son of Beast in Kings Island and T Express and the second steepest behind T Express.
Trains
El Toro has two trains with six cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. This enables a maximum capacity of 1500 people per hour.
