Kings Island is an American amusement park in the state of Ohio . Around 3.3 million people visited him in 2016.
Since 2006 the park has belonged to the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company , which operated twelve amusement parks in 2013. The most famous attraction of the park was the now demolished wooden roller coaster Son of Beast , the highest and fastest of its kind, which even had a loop until 2006 .
Attractions
The park offers a total of 49 different attractions, including 14 roller coasters and three water rides. In addition to the Son of Beast , the wooden roller coaster The Beast from 1979 is also worth mentioning, which is currently the longest wooden roller coaster in the world with a length of over 2 km.
The newest roller coaster at the moment is the "Mystic Timbers" of the wooden rollercoaster type built by Great Coasters International .
In addition to the roller coasters, Kings Island also offers a renowned themed area for children, which has consistently received the Golden Ticket Award in the Best Kids' Area category since 2011 .
On May 25, 1974, the high wire artist Karl Wallenda set a new world record of 548 meters for the longest distance covered on a high wire. In 2008 his grandson Rick beat the record with 609 meters in Kings Island.
